What's Involved?

A Heartwood favourite! Join our head farmer, Val for an informative stroll out to Heartwood's rolling silvopasture to experience the wonders of nature-inspired farming. Enjoy a guided tasting of our craft ciders, many of them inspired by farm stories, sipping out in the field with our cows and their calves. In this up-close-and-personal 2 hour experience, learn about climate-friendly regenerative grazing, and how cows can help to heal the planet. Get right in amongst the herd, and scratch a friendly cow behind the ears. We'll amble through our forest garden and visit some of our other herds and flocks (yes... the piglets!) -- come prepared for a bit of walking, potential muck, and the occasional mosquito! This is geared to adults, but engaged teens are welcome too (non-alcoholic cider available)!
